All products start out as a prototype in the design department. The prototype design is then put through a series of computer simulated tests to ensure its structural integrity and quality. The prototype will then be built and tested. Rework and evaluation will be conducted to improve the design. Once the prototype design is approved the design is issued to the material planning department.
